Driving Directions/Map

From Downtown:
Take Hwy. 17 North across the Ravenel Bridge into Mt. Pleasant. Turn left on Anna Knapp Blvd. Follow Anna Knapp around the curve and the Library will be on the right by Mathis Ferry Road.

From West Ashley:
Take Hwy. 17 North through downtown and into Mt. Pleasant. Turn left on Anna Knapp Blvd. Follow Anna Knapp around the curve and the Library will be on the right by Mathis Ferry Road. OR Take I-526 into Mt. Pleasant. From I-526, take the exit for Hwy. 17 South toward Charleston. Turn right on Anna Knapp Blvd. Follow Anna Knapp around the curve and the Library will be on the right by Mathis Ferry Road.

From Folly Beach and James Island:
Take Folly Road to Hwy. 17 and go North (towards downtown). Take Hwy. 17 North through downtown and into Mt. Pleasant. Turn left on Anna Knapp Blvd. Follow Anna Knapp around the curve and the Library will be on the right by Mathis Ferry Road.

From the North area:
Take I-26 East to the I-526 Exit towards Mt. Pleasant. From I-526, take the exit for Hwy. 17 South toward Charleston. Turn right on Anna Knapp Blvd. Follow Anna Knapp around the curve and the Library will be on the right by Mathis Ferry Road.

History

The Mt. Pleasant Regional Library is one of four regional libraries which were opened between January and June of 1992. They have identical physical plants and are all 14,000 square feet in size. Each has an auditorium for use by the public, in addition to a small conference room. The FY2010 circulation at the branch was more than 764,000 items.
